Four Generations of Women Who Stitched Their Destiny 🧵

My name is Gisela — Gigi — and I am Venezuelan at heart, born in a border town between Venezuela and Colombia. I come from a family of four generations of seamstresses — strong women who raised their families stitch by stitch, from the old pedal-powered Negrita sewing machine to the semi-industrial. The needle and thread have always been part of my home, my history, my identity.

The Moment That Changed Everything 💡

I used to sew lingerie for my home, until one day a cotton cord bag model came into my hands. I stared at it and thought: "I CAN MAKE THAT."

I am very persevering. I drew the pattern with measurements, bought the materials, and on a home sewing machine… it all began. That was just two years ago.

The Art of Making a Gigi Bag 🤎

What makes my bags special is the material and the completely handmade process behind each one. Every bag is born round by round, following the shape — circular, oval, square — built with patience and precision. Then comes the hand assembly, and finally the decorative details that give each piece its unique character.

No two bags are exactly alike. Each one carries the time, care, and love of my hands.
